Equipping rangers and disrupting wildlife crime to keep endangered species safe for the future.
About Endangered Species Protection Agency
The Endangered Species Protection Agency is a UK charity that fights wildlife crime by training and supporting the rangers and law enforcement teams on the front line.
The illegal wildlife trade is a vast criminal enterprise that drives species such as rhinos, elephants, gorillas, orangutans and tigers towards extinction. The Endangered Species Protection Agency tackles it where it happens, working within international law and alongside local law enforcement across a network of protected areas. It holds no political allegiances and is focused solely on safeguarding endangered species.
Its central insight is that the survival of wildlife cannot be separated from the communities that share its habitat, so protection has to be built with people rather than imposed on them. The charity delivers this through specialist services that strengthen the people doing the hardest work, from ranger and law enforcement training to human rights instruction, criminal investigations, intelligence-led operations and bespoke security support.
The scale of its training is significant. The agency reports having trained more than two thousand operatives through hundreds of modular courses, equipping them to detect, disrupt and dismantle the networks behind wildlife crime and to make a real dent in the illegal trade.
This matters because rangers are often outmatched by well-funded criminal groups. Support helps fund training, equipment and operational expertise, strengthening the front line so that today's threatened wildlife can be protected and secured for the future.
