SYNOPSIS

The film follows the journey of Melrakki, a female Arctic Fox living in Kvíar, a remote village in Iceland. Winter here is harsh, but the fox is built for Arctic conditions. She features impressive physical adaptations designed to keep her alive, warm and dry. Her personality, intelligence and ability to co-exist with humans allow her to thrive in this rugged and unforgiving place.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER

We started our imaging path with landscape photography, quickly became obsessed with wildlife photography and then transitioned to video. Shiela took the first steps into the video arena, and David soon joined her. We formed Glatz Nature Productions, LLC to funnel our video work onto social media. We concentrate on cinematography and also edit, script, narrate, mix sound and produce short films focused on wildlife, conservation and nature themes. David is an FAA-certified drone pilot.
